Darian Brooker’s journey began in uncertainty. Growing up in the foster care system, she experienced a childhood marked by constant change - 26 different schools before she even graduated high school in 2014. Each move meant starting over - new teachers, new classmates, and new challenges. Stability was a luxury she never had, and the lack of support in her education left her frustrated. But within that frustration, a dream was born.

Darian refused to let her circumstances define her future. Instead, she became determined to create a world where no child’s education would be compromised due to life’s unpredictability. In 2017, with unwavering passion and a bold vision, she founded We, Future Leaders, setting out on a mission to impact 1 million Australian school children by 2040.

Her own lived experiences shaped more than just the vision of We, Future Leaders - they became the foundation for the program’s holistic approach. Understanding firsthand the struggles of instability, Darian crafted a model that ensures support, consistency, and empowerment for students, parents, teachers, and mentors alike.

Today, as a mentor and coach, Darian continues to turn adversity into action, proving that no matter where you come from, the future is yours to shape. And through We, Future Leaders, she is making sure that every child - no matter their circumstances - gets the education they deserve.
